March Missionary Madness

Serving is better with smoothies

Hey everyone!!! I hope everyone is doing well and is enjoying all the craziness of March Madness as much as my family is! It was a really solid week here in Federal Way and we saw lots of awesome things happen.

One of the highlights was our lessons with our friend, Rafael! We meet with him a lot and he is best friends with our recent converts. His testimony has grown so much the past few weeks and we were super excited to put him on date for baptism next week! It'll be the best way to start off General Conference weekend. Everyone keep praying for Rafael!!

We were able to find lots of new people this week and have some really strong lessons with potentials we found last week. The English class we hold twice a week hit an all time high with 11 nonmembers and 4 members there! It's such a fun way to serve others and introduce them to the gospel. Things are super busy in Federal Way!! It's the promised last up here.

I hit 10 months on my mission this week! Pretty crazy to be in double digits. Time really does fly when you’re having fun!! I’m grateful for the time I’ve had on my mission to find the happy in the hard and to watch the Savior transform the lives of people I’ve met. Can’t wait for more :)

I had a pretty cool realization or turning point you could say in my testimony this past week. I feel like I’ve gained an eternal view in everything going on instead of a more self-centered perspective and it all has been centered in the Atonement. I think it was a combination of recent experiences, studies, different teaching opportunities and lots of prayer but it all clicked with me this week. I don’t really know how to describe it. I do know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that through the Atonement we can always be changed for the good, in little and big ways. I know the Plan of Salvation is perfect and that so many blessings await faithful disciples of Christ. I know that without Christ’s suffering and sacrifice, we would have no purpose here on Earth. I know that no matter how low we may feel, Christ has gone lower and will pick us back up. I know that the Atonement is not just here for us to remedy mistakes but our constant resource to become happier. I’m so grateful to be a part of this restored gospel that is full of love, hope and millions of second chances. I’m grateful for my service as a missionary that has pushed me to feel the opposition in all things but has brought me the testimony that I have now as I watch the miracle of the Atonement change the lives of people that I love. I know this Gospel is true and that living it is the happiest way of life. I'm just happy to be living it out here in Federal Way ;)

Thank you for reading my rambling testimony! Putting things into words can be hard sometimes but I felt that it was worth sharing as a quick spiritual thought. You all are my favorite people!! I'm really grateful for all of you and for reading these each week. I love you so much. Have an amazing week!

Sending love from sunny Seattle!!
